London based Limerick man James Mercer has written as follows:

I have been trying very hard to research the Limerick side of my family but sadly keep hitting brick walls and dead ends. I wonder if any Limerick Leader readers may recognise my family at all? My grandmother was Mary Bridget Flynn, nee White. He was a pork butcher of Piggott's Lane and later James Street. Grandmother had at least seven siblings; Catherine, Christopher, Margaret, Teresa, John, Alice and Michael. all were born between 1889 and 1907. The last I heard was that Michael, her youngest brother ("Uncle Mick Flynn") was killed in a traffic accident, possibly in the early1980s. I believe he worked in the hotel, guesthouse business. My grandma Mary married my grandfather John Barnes in 1917 before coming over to England and settling in the Preston area. If this rings a bell with anyone, I would love to hear from you.
